My New Visa

Not a credit card, but that thing that will let me into the country of my dreams. Today I sent away for my third travelers Visa, my second into my beloved Paraguay. That junk gets expensive!

I’m sort of afraid of being rejected, but I’m sure I won’t. I mean, every other door has been opened, so this one will also. It’s just that I don’t have a return ticket, and the courier service I use says an itinerary showing a return flight is part of the requirements. The Paraguayan Embassy does not list it as a requirement, so I hope they’re right.

Here’s a little fun fact. I’ve used TDS for two previous visas. I did not realize that the return shipping was an additional charge, but they never asked me for more money. Twice this company has sent my visa to me for free. I recommend them if you can’t make it to an embassy yourself when you travel. It comes to $68 extra, but it’s worth it. It would cost me half that to get up to DC plus the day of work I miss.

I have some house news, but I’ll keep that for later.
