I have still been struggling, and recently I’ve seriously started asking God why. Here are some things I know.
God wants me to be healthy.
If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple. – 1 Corinthians 3:17
I can be disciplined.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. – 2 Tim. 1:7
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control - Galatians 5:22-23
we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin – Romans 6:6
I can be thin and healthy.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13
This is not just a physical fight, and I don’t have to simply trust my own physical will. As a child of God I have the resources to realize this goal. When wanting to isn’t enough, He Is.

I'm Jason, and I like to write.
Amen brother! Praying for you!
You are totally right. This is not pnly a physical fight, but it seems like you have the mental part taken care of since you know this. You can do this.
Jason this is so encouraging! I popped on your site to see if I could figure out how to get my goodreads profile on to mine and I read this and it is so perfect for me at this moment. I can’t wait to share it.
