I was craving something sweet on my way home from church. My go-to snack in those situations was essentially apple pie crumb topping. Today I decided to change my mind and make some juice.
It’s actually quite delicious. Two grapefruit and two kiwi, with a little bit of splenda and extra water to take the edge off. But I realized something that concerns me: kiwi makes my mouth itch.
It’s making it so I can’t enjoy this beverage that I invented. I like it, I’d drink it again, but it’s like how I put up with the skin rash when I wear a nice wool sweater that looks great (I’m allergic). Am I allergic to kiwi?
I’d be interested in any delicious juices you’ve made. I really love natural. If you’ve made any drink out of whole foods, leave me a recipe in the comments!

carrot juice isn’t all that bad. it’s also useful as a supplement, for example as part of a apple-orange-carrot blend. obviously water and sugar are required.
I’m supposing you did, but was the kiwi hairless when you blended it? I know that I would have an itchy mouth if I ate the hairs. I’ve made smoothies using strawberries, blueberries, bananas, pineapple, and yogurt. It’s thick, but if you add milk or water to it (I imagine you could also substitute pineapple juice for yogurt/milk/water as welll) it still tastes pretty good. You just have to be okay with the strawberry seeds
Of course I peeled it….
I did research, and I think I’m allergic to kiwi. I have one left that I’ll try to see.
