I had seen an article once for ice cream you can make, and I was intrigued because it was made strictly from bananas. I just finished a dinner of sauteed veggies and a bit of brown rice with ground turkey and fancied something sweet. I decided to give it a try.
I had one frozen banana in the freezer, so I cut it up and dropped it in a food processor. You have to kind of wiggle it around, tilt it on its side, and stuff because it gets to a point that it’s too thick to fold back into the blades. I popped in some peanut butter and vanilla extract for extra flavor.
It works marvelously. I’d recommend it. No sugar added, all natural, perfectly healthy ice cream. Sure, it has calories, but it’s got far less than the same amount of ice cream and far more nutrition. Oh snap…next time I’m adding nuts…
Go on then. Make some.

That sounds delicious. I’ll have to try it!
I think I must have done something wrong. It was…. more or less inedible for me- I couldn’t get the bananas and the peanut butter to mix, so I added milk and turned it into a shake, only peanut butter and bananas were never meant to be a shake.
Oh well, guess I’ll have to stick with smoothies!
I’m going to have to heartily disagree with you. I’ve been making banana shakes with a bit of peanut butter for a month, and it’s amazing. Honey rounds out that blend.
